Job searching is not for the faint of heart.
Oy vey. Let me tell you, I really hate looking for jobs. It'd be so completely awesome if there was a job stork, similar to the ones that drop off babies, but instead of little people, they could simply drop off a nice neat little job offer, complete with decent pay, benefits, and paid vacation. Granted, the whole idea of delivery birds is really weird and somewhat disturbing when you really think about it, but the convenience of their service would most definitely be appreciated. I'm sitting here in the library looking through numerous job ads on the computer - it seems all they have are positions for sales, marketing, or management, which frankly do not sound very appealing to me. I think I need something with a little more activity, a little more creativity, and where I don't necessarily have to dress up every day. Call me lazy, call me picky, but after my job as an office receptionist, and even my internship a couple summers ago, I've learned I really don't want to wake up every morning dreading the day to come because I hate my job.

If you're into non-profs find one you like and start volunteering. Spend as much of your free time there as you can, you will gain that experience that they're looking for in some of their positions and may eventually hire you. After all, that's how I got my start at Invisible Children. Committed volunteering shows that you're in it for all the right reasons. I don't know, can't hurt to try I suppose. Good luck!
